Tier 1

Hi Guys,

I have applied for Tier 1 application on 17th March.. I am about to quit my current company and start new job in a month's time.

Now as you would know they also take the passport. So I have to wait to get my passport back with the visa. Does any one have idea on the waiting period for the Tier 1 applications ?

and is there a way to expede it - as I understand - they have closed all urgent applications.

Please let me know soon, if anyone has got tier 1 visa and the time it took.

You are correct that they have removed the request to expedite process for Tier 1 and I do not know of any way to get them to do things quicker. Based on friends who have applied, it seems like the process can take from 4 weeks to 3 months!!
